Limited Capacity seats available

If you enjoyed last years viewing of Black Panther and the discussion that followed, or you wish that you were able to make it, here is your opportunity to attend the second installment of the Wakanda Forever Movie Series.

This session will provide an opportunity to view Ava DuVernay’s powerful documentary, 13th. In this film, the words of the thirteenth amendment are introduced and analyzed. Although slavery was abolished in 1865, the film argues that the clause embedded in the wording has had a lasting negative impact on the lives of people of color. After the viewing of the movie, we invite you to dialogue--not to debate, what you learned. Come into this space with an open spirit to spark a conversation that will lead to the expansion of your views on the world around us. Session contains mature and graphic content.

The contents of this session are not the opinions of Round Rock ISD, but those of the people that participate in the discussion.
