The dylexia team will provide you practical ways to intervene with students who struggle with handwriting legibility. This multisensory, systematic and explicit approach will allow you stratgically target handwriting for students. We will offer ideas for accommodations and ways to supplement your handwriting instruction.

This course will discuss information which should be documented in eStar for any Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3 intervention. Detailed instructions will be given on how to enter this information. There will be time for guided practice with sample student information. Bring your laptop as it will be used. This training is appropriate for any teacher, interventionist, or specialist providing interventions for students.

It is an umbrella term for the neurologically-based skills involving mental control and self-regulation.” These processes consist of managing oneself and one's resources in order to achieve a goal. Walk a Mile in Their Shoes

The dyslexia simulation is designed to help individuals gain a better understanding of and empathy for those children and adults who struggle with dyslexia. The simulation walks participants through five different activities: two reading, two writing and one processing simulation.
