SS - 6-12 - Podcasting through History
Limited Capacity seats available

Podcasts are becoming ever more popular sources for entertainment, news, and education. Often these sources provide excellent examples of how to accurately cite historical sources, differentiate between primary and secondary sources, and think critically about the context and effects of historical events. They are also excellent for covering a wide range of subjects while differentiating for student interest and ability level. This course will provide you with a wide variety of podcasts and episodes already sorted by unit and topic that can be used in 6th-12th grade social studies and history classes, along with examples of activities based around them and suggestions of how to use them both inside and outside of class. There will also be time for sharing your own favorite shows/episodes and building up your personal list for your classes.
