As a kindergarten teacher, have you ever thought, “What if the kinder team could meet all the kindergartners and learn about them before they were assigned to a class? What if we could better balance each classroom to best meet students academic, behavioral, and emotional needs?” If so, come to this new session where we will guide you through how to launch and implement a new approach to start your kindergarten school year! Hear the testimonies of two kindergarten teams in Round Rock who have launched this camp and have had great success! Every other grade has the opportunity to create class lists that are based on the needs of the students, whereas kindergarten does not have this opportunity. This is an alternative to random class list generation, so your kindergarten team can be empowered to create balanced classrooms.
Our goal is to build a strong community where the teachers and students all have the chance to learn about one another in a positive and safe environment. You will learn how to organize your first two weeks of school and communicate the positive benefits of this program with your administration. We will have time at the end to problem-solve any potential roadblocks and discuss how we can best help your campus.
